wo yao yi ping pijuo.

China. To start off, I need to upload this more often. I will start with my birthday. Everyone decided to chip and buy a huge cake to surprise me with at dinner. It was probably the best birthday I've ever had. The cake was huge, if I feel like it I might post a picture of it later in this blog. After that I forced people to come to Hoa Hai (a strip of tons of bars and clubs) for my birthday. Our taxi's didn't go to the same place, so we all didn't get to meet up, but I was with Wensess, Constance and Dujuan at a club and it was a lot of fun. We have been taking Chinese classes all week, which is actually really fun. I have a crush on my teacher and invited her to New York. It's really hard to remember what we've been doing so this is probably not in chronological order. We visited Hutongs, which are ancient streets that have small homes on them. Some are poor, which mainly consist of migrants these days. Others are more wealthy, we visited them both, along with a market that was really cool and authentic. A man named Michael showed us around, he is British but has lived in Beijing foeva. We also went to the Summer Palace, which actually had a big impact on China. The emperor's wife decided to use money to build a marble ship, and huge summer palace instead of a navy, resulting in China losing a Naval battle against Japan. It was really nice to visit though. We have been back to Ho Hai (spelling?) a few times, it's sloppy and I enjoy that. We also went to a Buddhist monastery that was roughly 1,000 years old. It was amazing and we were even able to participate in the prayers, which was really cool. We also got prayer bracelets, so I feel like I have some good luck comin my way. At the nightclub I slapped an Asian woman's ass to a techno version of "smack dat" in front of her boyfriend/husband. I'm tired of writing and you are probably tired of reading, so that's all for now. I'll post some pics in a few minutes.

I'm here.

Left: The forbidden city.

Right: Me chillen wit a lion.

It just took me way too long to figure out how to log into this website. It's all in Chinese. Anyway, I am here and it's amazing. Friday, when we got here, we went out to eat and then I passed out by 830 pm. Saturday we got up around 530 am and went to a bamboo park, it was really nice. Then we went to the forbidden city. It was hugeee and I took a sweet spill down the stairs in front of a lot of people. WOOPS. Yesterday we got up at 5 to hike to great wall. It was far away, and me and my friend were just not havin it, so we took a lot longer being that it was 85 degrees straight up a mountain. We told everyone we made a wrong turn and it was a lie. At the top you can buy food (ice cream) and then ride an alpine slide down it was hilarious. Nothing too innapropriate happened there. Then we went to the spririt path, and finally dinner. Drank some sweet chinese liquor that makes you get goosebumps. Got a lil tipsy and wound up meeting locals and foreigners on a soccer feild behind our building. Tonight, for my birthday, we are all going out and going to Kareoke.... so I'm thinking of singing Kung Fu Fighting? woops. also, i'd upload pics of the great wall but I felt my camera on the bus.....WOOPS That is all.

Snitches Get Stitches

Dear Friends,

Well, I have to keep a journal as part of my study abroad over in Asia, but I wanted to also make one of what I'm actually doing, because you all should know me well enough to know that my activities will not be school appropriate. That being said, this is the spot where I will let you guys know whats really going down, and how much trouble I'm (hopefully not) getting in.........theres no drinking age. WOOPS. Also, I chose all of you to read this, but only you people so keep this private so I don't get sent home early or disappear in an Asian jail. Once I get settled, I will post contact information, such as skype, and if for whatever reason you'd need, my Chinese cell phone number. Now that I've wasted some more time, I should finish packing, being that my flight leaves in T- 7 hours. Leave comments, questions and/or/most likely concerns here, and we should be able to communicate. Share this info with anyone and BONECRUSHA will get you.
